The Washington Post ran a feature on married couples who run small businesses together that included two pairs of Elements owners -- Alicia & David Cherniak of Elements Chester and Aaron Miller & Johanna Rose of Elements Mission Viejo North.
"Working together can certainly be a challenge at times, but we have defined roles in our business that play to each other’s strengths: Dave is detail oriented and great at ensuring that the studio is clean, organized and secure. I handle the HR, marketing and finance responsibilities. We discuss every evening how the day went and what needs to be done going forward. We may not always agree, but we always end the day together"
- Alicia Cherniak
"Our advantage is that we actually enjoy spending time together and over 23 years, we have learned to recognize and respect each other’s talents. We divide up the responsibilities accordingly, and we are able to be supportive of each other in a way that allows each of us to absorb the other’s stress rather than compound it."
- Johanna Rose
