Elements Therapeutic Massage Forecasts Continued Growth for 2011
Company surpasses 75 studios, announces 20% increase in monthly same-store sales, and kicks off 5th anniversary of franchising.
HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. – (Jan. 27, 2011) – Elements Therapeutic Massage, one of the fastest-growing franchises in America, has announced an aggressive franchise expansion campaign to add 33 locations in 2011 and further the brand’s development across the U.S. The Colorado-based franchisor is targeting multi-unit franchisees, entrepreneurs and corporate evacuees to join the franchise system.
“This is our fifth anniversary as a franchise opportunity, and the demand for our business is tremendous,” said Bob Haimes, chief growth officer for Elements Therapeutic Massage. “The success of 2010 with the addition of new studios and new cities has paved the way for a big year ahead.”
Ranked one of the fastest-growing franchises in 2010 by Franchise Times magazine, the chain grew to 75 locations across 23 states last year and posted a 20% increase in monthly same-store sales for the first half of 2010 nationwide over the same period the previous year.*
Today, Elements Therapeutic Massage includes 76 open studios with another 11 studios scheduled to open by mid-year. System-wide, the Elements franchised studios employ some 1000 massage therapists who deliver health and wellness to approximately 80,000 clients each month with an emphasis on deep tissue massage and trigger point work, and offer a variety of other modalities such as Swedish massage, hot stone massage, sports massage and more. And consumer demand continues to rise.
“We are changing the perception of our industry, making therapeutic massage more affordable and available to clients across the country,” Haimes added. “And we’re attracting incredible franchise owners who want to own their own business and be part of this growing industry.”
Research shows that therapeutic massage continues to gain popularity with consumers seeking a holistic approach to treat tension and stress.
A September study by the National Institutes of Health found that even a single massage has positive biological effects, including lowering levels of stress hormones, boosting the immune system and increasing a hormone associated with contentment.
“We’re at the epicenter of a business that continues to defy the economy,” Haimes said. “And we plan to reach an even larger audience by adding locations which will add jobs and wellness to communities across the country all year long.”
