Elements Therapeutic Massage Forms Relay Team and Gives Free Massages at Boulder Marathon Sept. 20th

HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. – Sept. 17, 2009 – Leading by example isn’t just a goal at Fitness Together Holdings, Inc., parent company of one-on-one personal training franchise, Fitness Together Franchise Corporation, and massage therapy franchise, elements therapeutic massage, inc.. To show they do more than run the company from behind a desk, four members of the executive team are running in the Boulder Marathon on Sept. 20 in Boulder, Colo.

Jeff Jervik, president and CEO of Fitness Together Holdings, Bob Haimes, executive vice president and chief growth officer of Fitness Together Holdings, Kevin Betts, chief operating officer and senior vice president of Fitness Together Franchise Corp., and Kyle Gjersee, senior vice president of operations and chief operating officer for elements therapeutic massage, have formed a relay team and will run the 26.2 miles beginning and ending at the Boulder Reservoir. Practicing what they preach, the four executives are physically active and intent on promoting health and wellness – a growing industry that their combined franchise network of more than 450 studios supports.

“We want to show that as a company and as individuals we truly believe in the importance of overall health and wellness,” said Jervik. “Running in the Boulder Marathon is just one outwardly visible way we can accomplish that.”

In addition, elements therapeutic massage studios of Colorado have been selected as the exclusive massage therapy sponsor for the race. The sponsorship was organized by Kate and Mark Mills, owners of elements therapeutic massage of Boulder. Massage therapists from elements locations throughout Colorado will be on-site providing complimentary massages to runners at the race start and finish station. elements will also have a booth set up, offering promotional items and information about membership.

Mark Mills is a full-time injury massage therapist at his elements location as well as an avid runner, who at 55 has completed 10 100-mile ultramarathons and 106 marathons. “Running and massage therapy are both a huge part of my life and as an elements owner, I am proud to support my community and hope to share the healing power of massage therapy with fellow runners.”
