"The best thing that someone can do to get a good night's sleep is take a nice hot bath and infuse essential oils to help induce a relaxed state of mind. Try to disconnect from your day leave work at work and don't focus on the tasks of the following days. Try to soak for at least 15 to 20 minutes to allow oils to take effect. By rubbing lavender on the bottoms of your feet this will help you get restful sleep."

"Some of these are things your mom used to say to you and some are a bit more scientific. But hopefully all will point you in the direction of a better night's sleep.

"Keep your bedroom cool -- no higher than 70 degrees.

"Establish a bedtime routine and stick to it. Don't change the time you go to bed when you can help it.

"Stop working at least an hour before your bedtime, but preferably two. This will help your brain get quiet and settled enough to allow you to fall asleep and stay asleep."

"Don't drink coffee after 2 p.m. Remove your TV from your bedroom. Get up earlier. Stop eating and drinking at least an hour before bed. And meditate for at least 15 minutes.

"These are all things I have done and do. I used to think I was a night owl and now I'm in bed and asleep every night at a reasonable hour."
