EDUCATION
Cortiva Institute of Massage, 1000-hour program. Graduated in 2011.
SUMMARY
"My massage is detailed, intuitive, and theory based. Using moderate to firm pressure, I move from superficial to deep layers of tissue, easing tension and helping improve function. We have a physical and energetic body - same coin, different sides. I utilize Reiki and sound therapy to work with my client’s energy. This aids in opening blocked pathways and re-establishing the free flow of energy. I provide my clients with the mind-body awareness tools they need to enable them to make informed decisions for their own treatment."
EXPERIENCED WITH
Muscle Specific Treatment, Pre/Post-Surgery, Upper/Lower Cross Syndrome, Core Release and Balance, Pain Management, Incontinence, Emphysema, Hot Stones.
SUCCESS STORIES
"With one client we used Reiki, sound therapy, and massage to help her release energies and find healing. Through the process she felt her awareness and intuition grow within herself. Another client was a runner who was unable to run or train. Within minutes of running, leg and foot pain would cause her to stop. She tried many different therapies with no results. After several focused sessions she was able to run and reported moderate, then mild, and finally no tension or pain when running."
WHAT MAKES YOUR MASSAGES UNIQUE?
"I believe what makes my work unique is how I use treatment work and energy work to create a fully integrated session that helps enhance the mind-body connection."
WHAT CONTINUING EDUCATION COURSES ARE YOU INTERESTED IN TAKING?
Business Management, Lymphatic Drainage, Theory, Reflexology.
WHAT DO YOU MOST APPRECIATE WHEN RECEIVING MASSAGE?
"Deep, focused work with light to moderate pressure, and energetic work."
WHAT KEEPS YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT MASSAGE?
"I like the limitless learning opportunities that body work offers. I apply a head, hand, and heart approach to body work. I use facts, theories, and practical skills in my work while showing compassion and respect to each individual. My experiences with my personal hobbies of craftsmanship and creating music have taught me to listen deeply and engage with my senses. This helps me to think and work outside the box."
