SUMMARY

"I started giving friends and family massages when in high school and college and they all suggested that I consider it as a career, so I switched to a massage school and got my license. Life and the times got in the way before I could finally get back to making it my career, but now I’m thrilled to be helping people feel better, easing their tension or pain and bringing about relaxation and healing. I love learning different techniques to help achieve this and will use all my knowledge to help each person feel better than when they came in, with the goal of achieving lasting freedom from pain."

Level 1-2+

EXPERIENCED WITH

SUCCESS STORIES

"I had a client come in who visually had her shoulder blade raised higher than the other and sticking out. After working on her for an hour, it was back in line with the other one and a whole lot less painful. I’ve also had a number of clients who were looking for relaxation fall asleep as I worked on them."

WHAT MAKES YOUR MASSAGES UNIQUE?

"I like to take the time to warm up the muscles before getting specific with my touch on whatever needs it, going layer by layer so as not to engage muscle guarding. That only makes it harder to bring relaxation to the area, as it becomes more tense and hard to move. I do not believe in needing to beat muscles into submission, but rather in encouraging them to let go of the excess tension that’s causing pain. That way, your muscles won’t keep guarding or even guard more, which just perpetuates the pain."

WHAT DO YOU MOST APPRECIATE WHEN RECEIVING MASSAGE?

"Therapists who listen, who don’t just dig into the places I hurt without warming up the muscles first, and take the time to work the whole area, not just trigger points."

WHAT KEEPS YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT MASSAGE?

"Every body is unique, and that variety keeps me passionate to learn everything I can to help my clients find relief from pain and restore balance, so they can move through life as freely as possible."
