Here are some common signs of stress:
• Body: You get headaches, digestion problems, or muscle tightness or spasms.
• Thoughts: You have a hard time concentrating or making decisions.
• Feelings: You feel anxious, upset, afraid, overwhelmed, or depressed.
• Actions: You act bossy or irritable, grind your teeth, or want to withdraw from people.
Each time you notice one of the stress signs above—or other symptoms you think might be stress signs— note the what you think brought on the stress.
But, have you ever looked back on an annoying situation from your past, and laughed about it? What seemed irritating at the time can seem funny later on. So, if you can, try to see the lighter side of something that’s bugging you right now. It may help put you in a better frame of mind.
