We are fortunate to live in a nation which allows us to move around freely, to think and express our own views, and to live the way we wish to live. We have choices, because we have freedom. Many have fought, and many continue to fight, to preserve this freedom.
Millions of people throughout the world do not have the freedom to live this way. They are told how they must live, what to say, they are not able to express their opinions, they have no voice, and they have no choices. They are not recognized as individuals with any thing of importance to contribute to the world, and are treated as such. These people do not have a choice in any matter; they are forced to live in a certain manner, because it is a matter of survival for them.
This month, as this great nation celebrates its birthday, we are grateful to the many people who protect the independence of the United States, so that we are able to continue to live our lives the way we wish to live. Hopefully, people living in nations where they do not have any choices, will someday have the ability to choose the way they want to live.
