Elements Extends Efforts to End Domestic Violence this Holiday Season
Dec 10, 2012
Local Therapeutic Massage Studio Joins Sojourner Family Peace Center to Embrace the Gift of Giving
Elements Therapeutic Massage of Whitefish Bay is joining forces with the Sojourner Family Peace Center to end domestic violence and protect battered women and children just in time for the holidays.
Through December 31, 2012, the Elements team will be collecting donations of cash and newWish List items needed for infants through adult women who are cared for by the Sojourner Family Peace Center. For each donation, Elements will provide guests with a discount of 50 percent off their next massage service 55 minutes or longer in January 2013.
In addition, the Elements team will be sponsoring a family this holiday, a mother and two daughters, by purchasing items from their own crafted wish list. However, there are more families that need assistance and with guests’ donations, the Elements team hopes to help enrich the lives of many more individuals.
“It’s of vital importance to the Elements family that we help all those in need this holiday season,” said Aimee Matchette, owner of Elements Therapeutic Massage in Whitefish Bay. “We hope to create a ripple effect among other community members to reach out in any way they can so that everyone can enjoy a loving, memorable holiday.”
Sojourner Family Peace Center provides food and shelter for women and children in danger, counseling services for abusers and victims, academic enrichment for children, help navigating the legal system and financial assistance for women to attain housing.
