If you had to tell somebody why they should have a massage with you, what would you say? I customize each massage to meet my client’s needs. My mission is to support individuals in achieving life balance through personal wellness. I am a firm believer in the separable connection between body/mind. I am a proponent of massage for relieving physical aches and pains, as well as emotional stress.
What are your favorite modalities and why? My massage styles range from “Swedish” for stress reduction/relaxation to trigger point therapy, sports massage for chronic pain and everything in between. I love massage and pulling out whatever modality from my toolbox that will best meet my client’s needs.
How long have you been practicing therapeutic massage? I have been practicing therapeutic massage since 2014. I've worked in a spa setting where the focus was relaxation, stress relief and deep tissue for sore muscles. I also worked in a gym where my job was helping people keep their bodies healthy and flexible so they could do what they love most. Also helping those w/ injuries, surgeries or other issues to recover and heal as soon as possible.
Why do you think massage is important? I strongly believe massage is a viable modality for enhancing overall health and well-being. Massage keeps our mind/ body/spirit in balance and connected. Just like our cars need tune ups, our bodies need a little TLC to keep running to their best ability.
Why should more people have massage? Massage was once only seen as a mode of relaxation. Constant studies are showing the many benefits of massage for different pathologies to overall well-being. Everyone can benefit from massage.
If you could practice massage anywhere in the world where would it be? Probably up north in the mountains where I grew up. Would love to lead hiking excursions w/ my fiancé followed by massage and relaxation.
Where did you learn massage? I was blessed to study massage at the Center for Natural Wellness in Albany.
Why did you become a massage therapist? I'm a care giver at heart and love to help others. I became a massage therapist so I could use my skills to help improve other’s lives. Whether it's helping relieve stress or migraines…. Or helping someone in chronic pain or healing from an injury. I'm happy to help make the difference!
