SUMMARY
Whether it was my family after a long day of work, my friends at a birthday party, or acquaintances around a campfire at an ancient skills gathering, I have enjoyed offering massages to people in hopes it would help them to feel better. Once I learned that massage could be a career that could support me, I was interested, and once I had the opportunity to go to a school to learn how to do it properly, I went for it! I really think it is important for me to have a job that I enjoy going to where I feel I am doing good in the world, and being a LMT gives me that experience.
EXPERIENCED WITH
Deep Tissue, Swedish Massage/Relaxation, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, Lymphatic Drainage Massage.
SUCCESS STORIES
I once had a client come in who was lacking in range of motion in her arm to the point of thinking it was frozen shoulder. After working on her Teres Major and other rotator cuff muscles, she was able to get tension relief, as well as, a significant range of motion back!
WHAT MAKES YOUR MASSAGES UNIQUE
My goal when the client leaves the table is that they will feel relieved, like they have made progress on something that has been bothering them, without being in too much pain. I do my best to address targeted areas of tension, stress and pain to alleviate the wear and tear of daily life and help the client achieve a higher state of wellness.
WHAT KEEPS YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT MASSAGE
I love coming into a job where I am doing good for other people, who in turn clearly appreciate what I am doing for them. I feel like being a massage therapist is highly rewarding emotionally as well as spiritually, and since I am going to work for the next several decades, why not do something I enjoy so much?
