Fact of the Day: In 1996, massage therapy and bodywork was officially offered for the first time as a core medical service in the Summer Olympics in Atlanta.
In the 2012 Summer Olympics, 20,000 people applied to be a part of the medical staff; 3000 were accepted. 800 of those were massage therapists. This means that massage therapists made up 26% of the medical staff!
This shows how important massage therapy is for peak performance!
