Where did you study? Oregon School of Massage, Portland
When did you graduate? March 2018
What do you like most about massage? I love to bring real peace, relaxation, and tension relief to my clients. I think that massage should be a regular part of everyone’s self-care and wellness routine. I am happy to make it more accessible to more people. I love learning about the body, exploring new massage modalities, and discovering new ways to help my clients. I expect to always be learning and evolving as a therapist. I always want to provide a safe space for clients to let go, relax, and heal.
What are your favorite modalities / specialties? I like to use a flowing Swedish massage for relaxation and Deep Tissue massage for tight muscles and adhesions. I also like to add in elements of Shiatsu massage which uses a lot of rhythmic mobilization, compression and stretching.
Why do you feel those modalities / specialties are effective? Easing the body into relaxation and parasympathetic mode with Swedish massage is important before really working deeper on muscle tension and adhesions. Plus, it is such a lovely experience for body and soul. I also feel that Shiatsu techniques can be so grounding and help to bring balance and flow back to the body.
Anything special you'd like to share about yourself? I’m a former teacher and mom of 3 boys. I’ve lived in many places, but Portland is my favorite. I love to explore through travel as well as through books and classes.
