July is Anti-Boredom Month. “We often associate being bored with having nothing to do, but that’s not always the case. Many times, we have plenty to do or are even doing it, but the task at hand does not stimulate our minds. It may be repetitive or not challenging enough.”

Anti-boredom is all about finding creative and healthy ways to combat boredom and stimulate our minds. Here are some ideas of things you can do when you’re feeling bored:

Relaxing Things to do When Bored

  • Doodle, color, or draw on some paper
  • Listen to music
  • Meditate
  • Stretch

Adventurous Things to do When Bored

  • Go for a hike somewhere you have not been
  • Try out a new restaurant.
  • Plan a future trip
  • Visit a museum

Productive Things to do When Bored

  • Meal prep for the upcoming week
  • Make a future finances plan
  • Donate old clothes or other items to your local charity
  • Clean something in your place that you haven't in a while

Entertaining Things to do When Bored

  • Watch a documentary
  • Call your friends or family
  • Make a bucket list
  • Find a new show to watch
