My work with the human body started with movement. Contemporary dance and body awareness. This opened a self awareness and inner work that awakened inside of me the realization that body and mind are one. When we are comfortable inside our body, we feel peace and happiness and vice versa. If we are upset or tense our muscles carry the emotional pain. The biggest killer in modern society is stress. This is what makes me passionate about massage, the honor and ability to put the client into relaxation, the parasympathetic state, in promoting and facilitate healing. I am a holistic practitioner, massage therapist, certified (and passionate) for pre-natal massage, did work with shiatsu and Chinese medicine. My biggest reward is to see I was able to relieve pain, to create a space within the body, to increase range of motion within the body, and promote well being, peace and health within the body.

Had the newest Elements Carlsbad Therapist, Brittany. She was absolutely amazing. She did a deep tissue and was very responsive to how hard I wanted the pressure. It was the best massage I have had in a long time. I already scheduled my next appointment. I would highly recommend Brittany to anyone wanting a massage....just don't book her up completely because I will a frequent flyer! -Julie

I chose to become a massage therapist because I enjoy helping people. I find the human body fascinating and love to learn about it. It is amazing what affects touch has on the body, anything from a hug to a full body massage can greatly impact a person's mental, physical and emotional state. Elements is an amazing work family. Everyone is genuinely nice, caring and here to help. I intend to fascilitate healing in each of my clients by offering various bodywork techniques to help relax, and alleviate pain.

Massage keeps me humble, balanced and sane. It makes me a more focused, thoughtful, and healthy person.  I became a massage therapist to help others feel that way too. Walking into Elements massage was like walking into an extension of the home I dream of having, calm, clean with just enough purpose in the room to propel me forward through my day.

Having a desire to help others since I was very young, my mom encouraged me to pursue Massage Therapy... I am so thankful she did! It is so fulfilling to help people feel better on a daily basis. At Elements everyone is so helpful and kind. We all have the same goal in mind to leave our clients feeling happier and healthier. I was an athletic trainer which taught me a great deal about sports injuiries. I harness this knowledge to easily target problem muscle groups. Whether you’re an athlete or your body is in need of attention, book with me and I’ll eliminate those knots leaving you limber, painless and relaxed.

Ummi | CA Licensed Massage Therapist CAMTC #41928 Pressure Level Range 1-3

Available Wednesday, Thursday

My training began many moons ago when I was a little girl with my parents.  My dad would pay me 50 cents for 10 minutes or as long as I could before the ice cream truck would come down the street.  Ice cream was my motivation back then.  And my mom would help people with herbs, vitamins & diet.  Listening to her help people with simple changes to diet or taking certain vitamins was like magic to me.  Now, 30 + years later, helping animals & humans alike alleviate stress & pain; is my passion.

Attended Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and earned over 1200 hours in Massage Therapy & Asian Bodywork.  Studying modalities such as Sweddish, Thai (Lazy man’s yoga), Acupressure, Energy balancing, Reflexology, Cupping, Hot Stone & Reflexology.  I’ve also attended Healing Hands School of Holistic Health where I studied CranioSacral.  A great way to help alleviate headaches & helps the body heal itself.

Additionally, to attending PCOM & Healing Hands of Holistic Health, another modality I have ascertained is Biodynamic Craniosacral; a super beneficial modality that listens to the nervous system while assisting the body to heal itself.
