What is Sports massage?
Sports massage is the application of a number of techniques to an athlete in order to manipulate soft tissue to support function, performance and overall well-being of an athlete. Also, athletes need massage applied differently depending on training schedules, competition cycles, events, goals and even psychological state. Sports massage is targeted to support fitness, help reduce the demands a sport places on the body, increase the ability to perform the sport and shorten recovery time.
