Misa's Massage:
Misa has been a massage therapist since 2008, and she offers medium – firm pressure. Misa has a very therapeutic style of massage. She likes to aid the body’s natural healing process through application of Swedish, deep tissue, and circulatory massage techniques. Misa utilizes a variety of osteopathic massage techniques which focus on manipulating the bones and ligaments as well as soft tissue.
She practices a technique called visceral manipulation which treats a person's functional and structural imbalances to relieve the symptoms of pain, dysfunction, and poor posture. By using her hands to “listen” to the tissue she can identify areas where the muscle tissue is pulling or restricted in movement.
Misa’s clients often praise her kind professionalism, massage knowledge, and ability to help them work through their issues. She gives a wonderful hot stone massage and is also popular among prenatal clients.
Good for: Treatment work, osteopathic massage techniques, hot stone, prenatal.
Not good for: Those looking to just relax, those who prefer light pressure, those who prefer very firm pressure.

SUCCESS STORIES
One of my regular clients showed up with lingering pain in his hip area. He complained that it gets worse when he plays golf. I listened to his body through the Visceral Manipulation technique and did some treatments with the modalities I learned in the class. Visceral Manipulation is a very gentle hands-on technique with subtle movement, yet it is a very powerful technique. After the first session, he felt much better; however, he still came back with pain in the same area a couple of weeks later but with lesser pain. After a few sessions, the pain was gradually alleviated and he didn’t have any more problems in his hip. I was so amazed and happy to witness that his body was shifting to try to heal itself and came back to its optimal state.
WHAT MAKES YOUR MASSAGE UNIQUE?
In my session, I focus on being present with my clients, directly engaging the body and creating specific treatment plans to assist the healing process.
WHAT DO YOU MOST APPRECIATE WHEN RECEIVING MASSAGE?
I appreciate when a therapist treats me with client-centered care and with a positive and warm atmosphere.
WHAT KEEPS YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT MASSAGE?
I love helping people by easing stress and alleviating pain through massage and seeing their smiles at the end of each session. Also, constantly learning about the human body and its mechanisms fascinates me; it makes me want to learn more about the healing powers of massage.
