Dave McIntosh is a Master Level Massage Therapist with the Elements Massage studio at Stetson Hills and has over 25 years of experience as a massage therapist.
A native of Colorado Springs, Dave graduated from the University of Sioux Falls, Sioux Falls, South Dakota with a Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science. From there, he lived and interned at the US Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, NY, where he helped prepare the nations best for the 94 Winter Olympic Games in Lillehammer.
Dave has raced bicycles for most of his life. In 1996, he qualified for, and rode the US Olympic Track Cycling Trials, finishing 5th in the Team Pursuit. During his preparation for the Trials, he received a lot of massage work from a friend, who suggested massage therapy as a career. Shortly after trials, Dave attended the Colorado Springs Academy of Therapeutic Massage, graduating at the highest level in 1997.
In addition to his career as a massage therapist, Dave also coaches cyclists professionally, and is a Level 1 certified coach with USA Cycling. A highlight of Dave's coaching career was traveling to and living in Rwanda, Africa in 2012, where he coached the Rwandan National Cycling Team in preparation for the 2012 Tour of Rwanda. Dave was also the Director Sportif for the French Canadian professional cycling team Garneau/Quebecor, during the 2012 Tour of Rwanda.
As a massage therapist, Dave prides himself not only on the ability to deliver a good massage, but also to soundly answer questions related to massage therapy, dispel myths surrounding the practice, and offer good customer service.
