A New Way to Promote Relaxation

Elements Massage Scottsdale Promenade Mar 3, 2016

In breaking news for Elements Scottsdale Promenade, our studio will now be offering Aromatherapy services to help take any massage session to the next level. A practice rooted in ancient cultures, aromatherapy employs natural essential oil extracts from plants, barks, flowers, and other organic matter to deliver psychological and physical benefits. As a new way to promote the art of relaxation and enhance our current offerings of massage, we are thrilled to help you find ways to release that mind/body tension and promote health, beauty, and well-being.

Working with two different aromatherapy methods including topical application and inhalation, Elements seeks to deliver a rich sensory experience to induce a deeper relaxation for a unique and therapeutic massage.

How Aromatherapy Works
Inhalation

When simply breathed in, the aromatic molecules from the essential oils travel through the nasal passages to stimulate the body’s olfactory receptor sites, which in turn trigger nerve messages to the brain’s limbic area.  This response fires a variety of physical, spiritual, and emotional responses while affecting aspects of the central nervous system, and immune/endocrine systems.

Topical

When diluted in a carrier such as lotion, essential oils can be integrated into a massage treatment through the topical application to the skin. The scent of the oils can enhance massage while also delivering benefits to target areas of the body.

With options such as Lavender, Eucalyptus, and special synergistic blended oils Radiance, and Vitality, we are thrilled to be bringing this new service to our studio to help you make the most of your experience with massage! Give us a call today and let us know how we can help you achieve a better mind/body connection!
