Scott received his certification in 2000 from the National Holistic Institute in Emeryville, CA which included 400 additional hours in the Advanced Neuromuscular Program. Scott grew up in the Berkeley area with stops in Ukiah and Denver. He spent three summers as a youth living on Glacier National Park in Montana while his father oversaw a medical clinic. Before discovering that massage was his passion, Scott worked as a UPS driver. Scott chose a career as a massage therapist because he was interested in traditional Chinese medicine through martial arts. He incorporates a variety of modalities including Swedish, Trigger Point and Sports Massage. He is also certified to perform Prenatal massage.
Scott holds the belief there is a connection between the mind and body through breath. He also feels that having a positive attitude is vital to healing as well as the importance of always keeping the body moving, staying active and keeping the mind sharp by learning new things. During his spare time, Scott enjoys exercising, taking walks, playing the guitar, spending time with friends and going to the movies. He has traveled to the Bahamas, Mexico and Canada and his dream vacation is to take in the magnificent sights of the African Savanna.
