Elements Massage Piney Creek Apr 18, 2016
The ancient practice of utilizing essential oils derived from plants, bark, flowers, and other organic matter is now coming to Elements Piney Creek. Our customers have been requesting aromatherapy for years and we are delivering on their demands! Available as an add-on service to our regular line-up of massage offerings, this new way to promote relaxation and enhance our current program will deliver an additional way to release mind and body tension.
As a unique way to promote the health, wellbeing, and beauty of our clients, Elements Piney Creek plans on incorporating the rich aromatic experience of aromatherapy through two approaches: topical application and inhalation.
How Aromatherapy Works
Our studio will use Bon Vital, a professional skin and wellness company’s exclusive product to bring our customers the best when it comes to quality essential oils. With popular options such as lavender and eucalyptus, two well-known, rich aromatic oils that boast healing benefits such as fighting fatigue and stimulating brain power, alongside two synergistic energy oil blends titled Radiance and Vitality, our expert therapists will use these oils to maximize the benefits of every massage.
When breathed in, the molecules in an essential oil stimulate the body’s olfactory receptor site located in the nasal passages. From here these sites send nerve messages to the brain’s limbic portion, which is responsible for firing physical, spiritual, and emotional responses. In particular, this method is great for addressing your body’s central nervous system, immune, or endocrine systems.
When used in a topical application, it is most common for the essential oils to be diluted in a carrier such as lotion, which is then applied directly on the skin. The scent of the aromatic oils works to enhance and augment a massage while enabling the massage therapist to target specific areas of your body.
