Sports Massage can Help Athletes

With Spring right around the corner, now is the time to focus on training for our upcoming races and athletic events and we want to make sure to add Massage to our training mix.
Once seen as a luxury, massage is quickly becoming a necessity for many athletes due to its redemptive benefits. "I would not provide sports medicine services for any major athletic event without massage therapists." said Marjorie J. Albohm. MS, ATC Chief Athletic trainer for the 1196 Artlanta Olympics. Massage just doesn't feel good,it reduces heart rate and blood pressure and increases blood circulation and lymph flow. It also reduces muscle tension/spasms, improves range of motion and helps relieve pain.
