Benefits of Massage Therapy During the Spring and Summer

Imagine this: Lying under crisp, linen sheets and on a heated table, the soothing music you hear around you draws you into the moment. Aromatherapy fills the air and you hear the gentle sound of massage lotion being warmed in your therapist’s hands. The aches of age, the throbbing from your overstressed muscles, the sheer need to be touched — all cry out for therapeutic hands to start their work. Once the session gets underway, the problems of the world fade into oblivion. You experience a blissful 60 minutes of relief and all you want is the gentle healing touch to continue.

As you get outside and begin enjoying our sunshine through gardening, golfing, biking, kayaking, rollerblading, swimming, boating, etc. a plethora of summer activities available to us, muscle fatigue, aches and pains start.  In our day-to-day lives we may feel stressed and pressured to take advantage of what these warmer seasons have to offer. With this, now more than ever you should be maintaining a regular massage therapy schedule.

An hour of massage does more for you than just take the pressures of the day away.  Evidence is showing that the more massage you can allow yourself, the better you’ll feel. Here’s why:

Massage has been around for thousands of years and in many cultures. Touching is a natural human reaction to pain and stress, and for conveying compassion and support. Think of the last time you bumped your head or had a sore calf. What did you do? Rubbed it, right?

In an age of technical and, at times, impersonal medicine, massage offers a drug-free, non-invasive and humanistic approach based on the body’s natural ability to heal itself.

We invite you to get your regular massage scheduled at Elements Massage in Mequon.

Our friendly staff, experienced therapists, soothing music and aromatherapy therapy options all makes for a perfect summer time massage to heal you so that you can enjoy the summer time with activities you love.

My mom was telling me that she got a massage the other day and it made me so jealous! I would love to get a massage. I actually didn't know that massage therapy could be so beneficial! It's really cool that touching is a natural reaction to pain. I never thought of that, but it's so true. Whenever I hurt myself, I rub the affected area. I guess it makes sense, then, that professional massage could be so helpful for injuries or pain! http://www.orchidspafootmassage.com/prices-and-packaging

It is great to know that just one hour of massage can be very beneficial for you! It would be nice to get massages a few times a month. That way you can regularly benefit from all of the advantages of massages! Hopefully that helps to make you feel better and happier.

This past summer I was always kayaking, biking and running, but your article definitely makes me wish that I had gotten massages on a regular basis during all of that. As you mention, I truly dealt with a lot of fatigue. Maybe next summer I can get a massage every three weeks or before and after every marathon or triathlon that I participate in. http://chongschinesemedicalclinic.com.au/

I love that massage therapy has been around for so long! Relaxation can be hard to come by sometimes, and massage is an answer to that. Something that has been so effective for so long as massage therapy is something you want in your life. http://www.therapeuticmassagesarasotafl.com/Physical_Therapy_Swedish_Massage_Sarasota_FL.html

I like that massages can take away the pressures of the day. Day's can be so stressful and full of so many activities. It would be nice to be able to get a massage on a regular basis in order to de-stress from those day's activities! That way you can be more calm and feel more at peace.

It was cool to learn about the benefits that come with massage therapy. I didn't realize that touching is a natural human reaction to pain and stress and help to convey compassion and support. I can imagine how helpful massage therapy can be when it comes to moving on after the loss of a loved one or friend. http://signaturemassagekcmo.com/massage-therapy/

I really appreciate how you point out that in an age of technical and impersonal medicine, massages offer a drug-free, non-invasive and humanistic approach to healing. I don't like needles or swallowing pills much and have been trying to find a better way to heal from my injuries. I think getting regular massages would allow me to relax and direct all my energy to healing. http://www.covemassage.com/massage-menu.html
