Community means many different things to different people. The basic definition of community is a group of people that feel bonded, like they belong to something or somewhere and in belonging, have ownership. At Elements Ken Caryl, we value our community. In fact, positively contributing towards making a difference and getting involved is something we pride our studio on. The community we build together with other local businesses and neighbors is a great way to foster a sense of belonging and provide a source of support and friendliness to those we interact with every day.
Recently we had the chance to showcase our community spirit by donating our services to a local elementary and intermediate school function. The Bradford Elementary and Intermediate school hosts an annual event called the Hogback Hustle 5K, presented by the Bradford Elementary PTA. This event challenges young students and their parents and friends to run through Ken Caryl valley for 3 miles to raise money for a diverse range of projects for the school. Additionally a 1-mile run is open for younger kids to participate or anyone else wanting to run a shorter distance.
At Elements Ken Caryl, we decided to showcase our community spirit by donating 90-minute massage sessions for the winners participating in all categories. As a way to show we care and to promote the recovery of the athletes who dedicated their time to raise funds for a great cause, massage is the perfect reward for a job well done!
