SUMMARY
I started massage therapy because my mom suggested it. I knew instantly that I had a natural desire and skill for helping people feel good through massage. I stay in massage therapy because I know that creating more peace and relaxation and less pain can help make the world a better place. It can help create better moods, nicer relationships and a lot more smiles!
WHAT MAKES YOUR MASSAGE UNIQUE?
My massage is very versatile. It can be quite deep or quite light, but what makes it special is its slow, steady pace that does wonders for relaxing the nervous system, releasing stress and restoring mind and body. My main style is Lomilomi, which involves very long, broad, even strokes and a lot of mindfulness. I also put a lot of intention and love into every session.
SUCCESS STORY?
Once, a client limped into our session with a knee brace and lots of knee pain. Upon leaving the session, she held up the brace and said "I guess I won't be needing this anymore." and walked out like she never had knee pain in the first place.
WHAT DO YOU APPRECIATE THE MOST WHEN RECEIVING MASSAGE YOURSELF?
I love the feeling that I am allowed to let go and focus on me and my body for an hour. Nothing else matters. I can turn off the mind chatter and just be. Plus I could learn something new to implement in my own practice sometimes.
WHAT KEEPS YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT MASSAGE?
We live in a fast-paced world, and I am passionate about slowing down. This means I love to help others slow down and bring balance to their lives. I find more joy in practicing massage the longer I do it. To see people put themselves first, the way we all should, makes me feel like a superhero.
