"The massage and my massage therapist were great!

There were two things that I didn’t like about my experience:

1. At the front desk it smelled like they were burning some kind of incense and it gave my allergies a bad reaction. The smoky smell made my sinuses plug up, and I could barely breathe out of one nostril during my session.

2. The music I felt was a little too loud and a little all over the place. A few of the tracks did not sound that relaxing to me. "

I always joke with my friends that deep tissue work is not always comfortable, and sometimes you can feel it the next day… but 1.5 to 2 days later, the chronic headache was gone from the previous 2-3 weeks, shoulder mobility was great, and my back felt better than it had in months! It was the best massage I have ever gotten, because:
- This was the first ever massage where the provider (Mary) listened to my request, spent enough time to my heart's content, on the problem area.
- She also explained sufficiently why it was beneficial to massage the surrounding areas as well, and what her plans were through the course of 90 minutes.
- Mary actually read the questionnaire I completed.
- She also explained which kind of massage she was specialized in, how she will modify the massage style to fit my need, and what other massage options / providers were available at the East Amherst site."
