"I like the personal care and attention of the staff. I love Kathy, my massage therapist, who tailors her massage to my requests or problem areas."
Pressure Leven: 1-3+
Favorite Massage Modalities: Deep Tissue, Swedish.
Philosophy on Healing: One must start with the desire to heal and then have the courage to make the changes and sacrifices to attain this desire.
Massage style: I utilize swedish strokes at the requested pressure level throughout the whole massage to relax the client's mind and body which enables me to incorporate deep tissue work where needed. I like to use myofascial techniques at a slower pace so that the tissue will allow me to sink in and let me feel for trigger points, adhesions, or so called "knots" that need to be addressed. My focus also tends to be towards the muscle attachment sites (joints, bony landmarks) where much restriction is found affecting the body's structure. I try to make my massage feel fluid and connected with smooth transitions whether it's from muscle to muscle or utilizing different techniques, strokes, etc. This helps the client understand how everything is connected and how each area affects the rest of the body. The goal is to relax the client and allow them to be more aware of their body, alleviate pain and discomfort as much as possible, and give a sense of overall wellbeing. Exercises, stretches, or suggestions to make small but effective daily life changes may be given at the end of the massage to further relieve muscle tension and discomfort between massage sessions.
