Testimonials

"My therapist, Michael, is absolutely fantastic. Can’t give him high enough marks for being a superb massage therapist." - Chana M.

"Michael is amazing. Service, friendliness and a lovely atmosphere is what you receive when you walk in the door." -Anne E.

Michael always knew he had the gift of touch. The idea of becoming a Massage Therapist intrigued him, but due to the realities of everyday life—three children, a mortgage, and the fact that he’s a Libra, and “Big Decisions are difficult”—his calling just kept simmering on the back burner.

He spent 20 years at Diageo, the world’s largest beverage and alcohol company, first in marketing and promotions and later as a procurement manager. Even though he was good at it, and he liked his job, he never felt he was doing what he was meant to be doing.

But finally, after his kids were launched and making their own way, he took the leap. And, his clients at Elements are so grateful that he did.

Michael’s touch is both intuitive and solid. When his hands are on you, you feel grounded and relaxed. His gift is especially helpful to people who suffer from anxiety and depression.

“I like getting people out of their head and back in touch with their body,” Michael says.

And, given that Massage Therapy is clinically proven to reduce anxiety and depression, that’s a win-win for Michael and his clients.

Michael also feels called to work with people who have problems with addiction or who are in recovery.

As someone who runs a lot, especially half-marathons and marathons, Michael says he finds inspiration from the runner Steve Prefontaine, who said that to give anything less than your best is to waste the gift.

If Michael could add another super power to his quiver he would like to be able to find a cure for ALS. That’s because over the last 15 years three of his friends died of ALS.

“It’s the cruelest disease I’ve ever seen,” he says.
