SUMMARY
My motivation comes from the impact that massage has on people, how it can make them feel better and give their body restoration and healing. I decided on this career because I want to put good into my world and I enjoy being a part of someone's healing journey.

SUCCESS STORIES
At my school's student clinic, I had a client who really wanted deep tissue massage: he wanted sustained contact with broad deep pressure for the whole session and was very insistent that was what he needed. At the time I wasn't as confident with deep tissue work, and I felt nervous about providing this treatment. Should I tell him I can't provide what he's looking for? Should I push myself to do an hour of this difficult work? Ultimately we discussed his needs and agreed to combine a little lighter relaxation work with the deep tissue techniques, explaining that the body needs to be relaxed and warmed up to allow that deeper work. The session went great and he became one of my most regular clients!
WHAT MAKES YOUR MASSAGES UNIQUE?
I've pulled lots of influence from Eastern modalities such as Ayurveda and Tui Na, and along the way I've implemented moves from the teachers and classmates I've studied with. These techniques make their way into all of my massages. I also like to maintain a quiet, meditative energy in the room to promote healing and stress reduction.
WHAT DO YOU APPRECIATE MOST WHEN RECEIVING MASSAGE?
I love the relaxation aspect the most, having dedicated and intentional time set aside by both client and therapist to heal and restore the body and mind.
WHAT KEEPS YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT MASSAGE?
The constant learning and evolution of massage keeps me passionate. There are so many things we can do to assist the body in its healing process and that's very exciting to me.
