When I received my first massage I was working as a Practice Manager for an Orthopedic Surgeon, and so many lights went off in my head. Not only did I realize the huge impact that receiving touch had on me but I also immediately saw the role massage could have in alleviating pain. Every day I saw people come in the physician's office in pain, and the solution was often surgery. Massage showed me there was possible a different way, or at the very least it could be a great place to start.

SUCCESS STORIES:

Recently I saw a client that was traveling through New Mexico. He had received 2 massages in the prior 10 days, and had been having regular massage at the recommendation of his physical therapist for 9+ years. He was in so much pain that he could hardly lay in the table. After doing an assessment I did a thorough upper body massage, including a lot of trigger point work, and watched him gradually soften onto the table. By the time we completed the session his pain had come down from a 10 to a 3/4. After our session I found out that no one had ever done trigger point work with him and he was so grateful to finally find some relief. The next day he came back to talk to the spa manager to let her know about the successful session and also wrote an
email to the hotel GM.

WHAT MAKES YOUR MASSAGES UNIQUE?

This is the hardest question for me to answer because I've never experienced my own massage! Every massage I do is unique and tailored to the clients needs that day, using any or all of the tools in my tool belt.
Here are some things that clients have told me that make me unique: vast knowledge of different techniques, an awesome ability to read a persons body and tune the appointment to their needs that day, warm and welcoming presence, consistent pressure and intelligent touch.
