"The manager and my first massage therapist (Josh) at Elements Massage of Hanover used such calm voices and were so very kind and welcoming. I could tell they really read the information on my intake form, as they noted specific details, and both explained things clearly so I knew what to expect and went into my massage feeling safe and comfortable with communicating my needs--which were entirely met during my visit! After the massage, Josh was standing outside of the room with a cold bottle of water and York peppermint patty (I understandthis to be standard practice, so all the better), and he showed me a great stretch to do at home, before sending me on my way with a detailed page of "Neck, Shoulder & Arm Stretches." I felt so well taken care of during the massage, and the fact that they offer a full bottle of water (not the short ones), a candy and some helpful "homework," makes me feel like they actually care about my well-being. There's no pressure to schedule another service or add-ons at all, which is nice. I appreciated 2 details at the end: (1) You take care of the tip at the front desk, and they accept card or let you give cash with a card for your therapist; and (2) there is a little card on the counter that has the tip amounts calculated for a 60 minute massage (and something else, which I didn't pay attention to) at 15%, 20%, and 26$. I went in thinking the 60 minute massage was $100, as I was using a gift card, and I would have under-tipped if I didn't see that helpful little notice. It's also not huge and in your face, so that's tasteful. When I told Josh how calm and kind everyone was, as even someone who didn't have anything to do with my visit opened the door for me, he said the owners are also really good, so it's a nice place to work. I read reviews about another location closer to me that are not favorable, so for that reason and because I had such an overhwelmingly posiitve visit, I plan to make Hanover my go-to!"
