With summer temperatures on the horizon, now is a great time to discuss water. It’s common knowledge that drinking water is good for you but that doesn’t make it easy to remember to put down the second or third cup of coffee or the afternoon soda and instead reach for a bottle of water. At Elements Massage Chandler Village, we realize that it’s easy to get out of the good habit of drinking enough water for your body each and every day and that’s why we are here to remind you how important proper hydration can be to your health and wellness.

Did you know that the recommended daily water intake is no less than half of your body weight in ounces per day? According to the Mayo Clinic*, this is a good rule of thumb to follow. There are several additional factors that play into the amount of water you should drink:

Tips to improving your hydration routine include drinking a glass of water first and last thing of the day, drink water as every other beverage you consume, invest in a handy glass water bottle to carry with you at all times, drink an extra glass of water before, during, and after exercise, and try to drink water with each meal!
