This is Rachel, a well requested massage therapist at Elements. Get to know Rachel and her gift for massage:
At what point did you decide to become a massage therapist and why?
Massage has just always been something that I’ve done. Whether it was for friends and family or one of my classmates, everyone always wanted me to give them a massage. Once I found out that it was possible for me to actually help people work through pain, mental, physical, or emotional, it became an obvious career choice for me.
What modality is your favorite?
I really enjoy using Trigger Point and Myofascial Release mixed with a firm Swedish massage. I always enjoy being able to tell the changes I have been able to make to a person’s body after employing these techniques.
Tell me about a situation in which you helped a client the most?
I’ve worked on a lot of people who have been in motor vehicle accidents. Being able to help so from not being able to look behind them or turn their neck is very rewarding.
What do you like best about working at Elements?
I like that Elements really tries to pair the customer with the correct therapist for them. I feel this is very important because every therapist and client need is different. To me it is a whole new level of customer service that can make a huge difference.
What are your hobbies?
I really enjoy reading and just about anything that gets me out in the sun and feeds my competitive nature. I also really enjoy art history and listening to all kinds of music.
