Bellevue Massage School. Graduated 2019.
“The most rewarding part of the profession is being able to say, ‘I did that.’ To see someone leaving my table feeling renewed with vigor is a blessing. I’m in a career where I can directly facilitate growth and healing. A workplace where I reduce stress and invite clients to listen to their bodies. When I go home, I can rest knowing that I had a genuine positive impact on someone.”
Anterior & Posterior Neck Work, Glutes & Hips, and Trigger Point techniques.
“I worked with a client who had moderate low back and hip pain. The pain made it hard for her to fall asleep, often waking her up multiple times a night. Over the course of the school year, I peeled back many layers of hypertonic tissue. We were able to connect many seemingly unrelated areas that referred pain to the low back. Near the end of the school year my client noticed fewer episodes of insomnia and was able to sleep on her side without pain.”
WHAT MAKES YOUR MASSAGES UNIQUE?
“I believe my sessions are opportunities for clients to pause and listen to their bodies – to discover previously unknown adhesions and hypertonicities alongside me. During the massage, I try to really incorporate long, flowing strokes. I’m inspired by waves crashing on the beach and receding back into the ocean. My goal for the end of the session is for the client to feel rejuvenated in a new, fresher body.”
WHAT CONTINUING EDUCATION COURSES ARE YOU INTERESTED IN TAKING?
Lomi Lomi, Myofascial Release, Bowen Work.
WHAT DO YOU MOST APPRECIATE WHEN RECEIVING MASSAGE?
“My favorite part of a massage is feeling the therapist’s intention and engagement behind their strokes. It feels like they are listening to my body and responding with their movements.”
WHAT KEEPS YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT MASSAGE?
“I love how massage therapy is always a learning experience. It is a profession where we can grow and develop alongside our clients. Each body presents unique features that challenges therapists to adapt. Together we work layer by layer to address the needs of the client. It is that environment that I really thrive in.”
