Where did you study? Oregon School of Massage
When did you graduate? August 2015
What do you like most about massage? Massage has a truly phenomenal way of shifting our awareness toward the many layers of our physical body. I love how effective massage therapy is with helping people feel more comfortable and at home in their bodies. I believe that when we feel at home inside our bodies we feel more at home everywhere in life. As a practitioner, massage sessions offer me a chance to step outside of my logical, analytical mind, and drop into the somatic intelligence and intuition of the body to provide a healing experience.
What are your favorite modalities / specialties? Swedish, Deep Tissue, Shiatsu, Trigger Point
Why do you feel those modalities / specialties are effective? I truly believe that our bodies heal and seek balance on their own when we nurture them. I specialize in providing deeply relaxing Swedish massage, drawing also on my training in Deep Tissue, Shiatsu, and Myofacial to nurture the body’s natural tendency toward healing and balance. I also like using my skills in Trigger Point to help my clients experience release and encourage ‘letting go.’
Anything special you'd like to share about yourself? I am deeply in love with the plant world. I have passion for herbalism, gardening and wild crafting and spend a lot of time in the woods appreciating and connecting with the plant kingdom. When I’m not doing massage therapy I’m often tending to my goats.
