"My first day of school the instructor told us that massage would be something we would fall in love with even if we started school knowing nothing about it. I have found this to be true. From those first days in the classroom I developed a passion for anatomy and the intricate mechanics of the human body. Since entering the field as a professional that passion has grown, matured, and merged with an enthusiasm for helping people escape the bonds of pain and heal from injuries. My work has become so meaningful to me that 'massage therapist' is no longer just a title, but rather an integral part of my identity."

"I had a client with severe neck pain who came to me as a last resort. She had tried medication, cortisone shots, chiropractic care, and a plethora of other alternatives without much success. The pain had become so debilitating that she had no other choice but to stop working. She came to me with very little hope of relief, but after a few short months of regular treatments her situation improved and she was able to return to work after six months of chronic headaches and incapacitating pain. Between her treatments with me and sessions with a chiropractor she is now fully functional and enjoying her life again."
What makes your massages unique?
"I listen closely to what my clients tell me and compare their account with what their body tells me. I have an intuitive nature when it comes to finding sources of pain and I'm patient and attentive about addressing issues from the source. I believe in treating the cause instead of the symptom. I try to inform my clients of all preventative measures and self-treatment options so that they may be actively involved in their own health and wellness. Finally, I have a genuine concern for and a vested interest in every client as an individual."

What do you most appreciate when receiving massage?
"I look for a therapist who listens and is intuitive. I have a lot of spinal issues and it's very important to me that my therapist understands those problems and effectively focuses on them rather than following a set routine."
What keeps you passionate about massage therapy?
"I get a lot of fulfillment from seeing my clients happy, but what keeps my passion alive is knowing that I have the ability to relieve pain, aid the healing process, and educate clients as to how they can positively influence their own health. I also find that it's easy to stay passionate about massage because it's not just a career but a journey of self-improvement and learning. No matter how much you learn about anatomy or the endless variations in technique you can always learn more. There's no room for boredom or stagnancy in this field and I find that inspiring."
