I have been a massage therapist since 1998. I have received education classes and seminars in western style therapies including: Trigger Point Therapy, Deep Tissue/Sports Massage, and Swedish Massage, Myofascial Release, and Neuromuscular Therapy. Additionally, I have participated in eastern therapy seminars including: Tui Na, a type of Chinese massage, Sooji, or Korean Hand Therapy and Sotai, Japanese movement therapy. Being familiar with a variety of therapeutic methods allows me to individualize massage for a wide variety of client issues.
I have worked as a massage therapist in different settings including: a chiropractor's office, athletic clubs, and my own business in Minneapolis, Minnesota. While working in these different settings, I have success with people who had a variety of physical issues. Some people had chronic issues from old unresolved injuries. Some had recent traumas from car and home accidents. Others were suffering from sports or activity injuries. Also, some of my clients had tension and sleeping issues from the stresses of life.
Before I became a massage therapist, and until January 2016, I worked as a Math and Special Education teacher. Also, I coached sports including: wrestling, volleyball and tennis.
Now I am member of the Elements Massage team, and I look forward to working with you to help your body become more functional, and to help you to have a healthy and happy life. I truly enjoy helping people improve their quality of life through Massage Therapy.
