Elements Massage in South Carlsbad currently has an opening for a personable General Manager with strong leadership and organizational skills. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Building, motivating and leading a high-performing team that genuinely cares about the health and wellness of every client
  • Leading studio staff to achieve financial, operational and client service goals
  • Coaching Wellness Membership Advisors on scheduling appointments, recommending enhanced services and presenting membership wellness plans
  • Ensuring studio systems, processes and policies are followed consistently
  • Provide training, guidance and confident leadership
  • Maintaining a professional and impeccable clinic environment for employees and clients

Description

About You:

WE REQUIRE AT LEAST 2-3 YEARS OF DIRECT MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE IN A CUSTOMER FOCUSED SALES ENVIRONMENTS OVER A LARGE GROUP, WITH MORE THAN 10 EMPLOYEES, AND A VERY STRONG WORK ETHIC. IN ADDITION, YOU:

  • Are goal oriented
  • Have knowledge of financial reporting
  • Have strong interviewing practices
  • Have proven coaching experience
  • Have great communication skills
  • Enjoy being in charge and are driven and ambitious
  • Have previous retail sales and customer service experience
  • Have at least two years membership sales experience
  • Demonstrate an ownership mentality
  • Have strong leadership skills

POSITION: The ideal General Manager will oversee all studio functions and staff of Wellness Membership Advisors and licensed Massage Therapists.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years of retail sales or fitness sales experience
  • Confident in generating personal sales and training sales reps in sales
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with studio owner
  • Ability to manage and drive revenue streams: wellness memberships, enhancements, office / event massage, gift cards, etc.
  • Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills in person, on the telephone, via email, and on social media
  • Ability to excel in a fast changing, diverse environment
  • Ability to recognize areas of improvement and make changes using good judgment
  • An affinity and passion for health
  • Solid writing and grammar skills
  • Highly organized, proficient in data management, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Professional, punctual, reliable and neat
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Trustworthy and ability to handle confidential information
  • Ability to work harmoniously with co-workers, clients and the general public
  • Proficiency with computers and studio software (MindBody)

DUTIES:

  • Lead generation including grass roots / local studio marketing and networking
  • Implement and manage existing sales process
  • Manage staff schedule
  • Directly coordinate with all vendors, ensuring that studio is stocked with accurate inventory counts
  • Hire / manage all employees at the studio
  • Independently make decisions to ensure a high level of customer service
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the massage studio (this also includes all massage rooms)
  • Enforce established studio massage policies and procedures
  • Ensure all forms, administrative supplies, and studio literature is stocked and visible
  • Schedule and participate in networking / community events and studio promotions
  • Strategically manage marketing campaigns to generate leads for the studio
  • Any other duties as assigned

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

  • Annual base salary $45,000 - $55,000 based on experience and demonstrated performance
  • Quarterly bonus tied to growth of studio
  • Periodic bonuses tied to periodic sales or other performance promotions

JOB TYPE: Full-time - this position will require the manager to work peak studio hours which also includes weekends.
