I believe in natural forms of healing as a first approach and a preventative measure, not a last resort. The body is an amazing thing, and is designed to heal and be healthy. Massage, for me, is an essential tool to help the body heal itself. I love being the conduit for that healing.
What Makes My Massage Unique:
I use a little bit of every technique in every massage I do. I listen to the client and what their individual needs are. I ask for and appreciate verbal validation through out the massage. I want to know where the pain is, where it refers to and whether or not it is being taken care of. I am 100% involved and present in each massage. I am intuitive to the body and the tissue. I go into every massage with the mindset and heart set to bring relief to each client, and to educate them in the ways that they can help themselves, ie; stretching, self massage etc.
I have quite a few success stories, however the one that sticks out in my mind is a client that I only saw 3 times, this client was an older, retired military man who had been in Korea. The first time I met with him, he could hardly walk, he complained of pain that ran from his lower back to his feet, mainly in the calf muscles. I could see on his face as well as the way he shuffled in, that he was in a great deal of pain. By the end of the first session, he told me he had not felt that good in years, and that he had not walked without pain in a number of years. By the end of the third session, he was walking without pain and the relief in his face was compelling. I truly love what I do!
